Laura Eisenberg Named Among Michigan’s Top 5 Super Lawyers for 2026

We are so proud to share this news with you. Laura Eisenberg has been named among the Top 5 Family Law Michigan Super Lawyers for 2026. It is a statewide recognition that places her among a very small number of family law attorneys who have earned this distinction in Michigan. For our law firm, and for the clients who have trusted us with some of the most personal and consequential moments of their lives, this recognition means a great deal.

Laura has dedicated more than 30 years to family law, walking alongside clients through divorce, custody disputes, property division, prenuptial planning, and so much more. Family law cases often carry complicated financial dimensions, and her thoughtful approach to business and financial issues in divorce reflects the depth of preparation she brings to every matter. Beyond representing clients directly, she has served as a court-appointed mediator, arbitrator, guardian ad litem, and parenting time coordinator.

What Does the Top 5 Family Law Super Lawyers Recognition Mean?

Super Lawyers uses a selection process that includes peer nominations, independent research, and peer evaluations. Each year, only five percent of attorneys in each state are selected to Super Lawyers. Laura’s 2026 recognition goes a step further: She was named to the Top 5 Family Law Michigan Super Lawyers list.

Peer recognition reflects a career built on consistent, serious legal work that colleagues have noticed and respected over many years. It does not predict any particular outcome in an individual case, and we would never suggest otherwise. What it does reflect is the kind of professional reputation that takes decades to build, one case, one client, and one thoughtful decision at a time.

Laura has been practicing family law since 1991. She is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has served as president of its Michigan chapter. She has also presented at State Bar of Michigan Family Law Section forums and contributed to the Oakland County Circuit Court’s SMILE program. Over the years, other attorneys facing their own divorces have sought her out personally. That kind of trust from peers speaks quietly and clearly.

Amy Spilman Selected as a 2026 Michigan Super Lawyer

We also want to take a moment to celebrate Amy Spilman, who has been selected to the 2026 Michigan Super Lawyers list. Amy has earned Super Lawyers recognition each year since 2014, reflecting the commitment to her clients that she has brought to this work throughout her career.

Amy handles complex family law litigation across a wide range of matters, including divorce, custody, spousal and child support, property division, change of domicile disputes, grandparents’ rights, and paternity cases. She also focuses on family law appeals, a demanding area that calls for careful, analytical thinking. Amy is a Fellow of the American Academy of Matrimonial Lawyers and has shared her knowledge through published articles and speaking engagements within the Michigan legal community.

Amy’s 2026 Super Lawyers selection and Laura’s Top 5 Family Law distinction are both genuinely meaningful, and we are proud of both. They represent different honors within the Super Lawyers selection process. Laura’s Top 5 placement is an additional recognition within the family law practice area.
